An independent appraisal of the surface or the mineral estate is often the basis for equity or debt financing, acquisition, divestiture, estate planning, just compensation in an eminent domain proceeding, joint venture, reporting or other normal business activities. In addition, we have an alliance with the nation’s foremost appraiser of contaminated property.
Gustavson Associates provide appraisal services of land, mineral property and improved commercial real estate. Our Chief Appraiser, Robert B. Frahme, MAI, CPG, CMA, has over 15 years of experience in the valuation of commercial real estate, as well as approximately 15 additional years of experience in mineral property valuation. He is the only appraiser in the United States who is jointly designated by the Appraisal Institute with the MAI designation, by the American Institute of Professional Geologists with the CPG designation and by the American Institute of Minerals Appraisers with the CMA designation.
Gustavson Associates’ support appraisers are all geologists and / or engineers by education and provide substantial support in mineral property valuations for the purposes of eminent domain, reporting, financing, estate planning and other purposes.
All of our appraisal work and reports comply with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), as promulgated by the Appraisal Foundation. In addition, all of our mineral appraisal work and reports comply with the standards set forth by the American Institute of Professional Geologists and the American Institute of Minerals Appraisers.
