JAN TOMANEK, VP - OIL & GAS SECTOR

Jan Tomanek has over 20 years of oil industry experience. He has worked in most domestic basins as a geologist with seismic interpretation, petrophysical and reservoir engineering skills. His professional experience includes managing and directing the exploration and development program for an exploration and production company, developing prospects utilizing 2D and 3D seismic data and evaluating prospects and producing properties for participation and acquisition.

Mr. Tomanek studied several waterflood projects in Oklahoma, Texas and Wyoming and has experience with coalbed methane, basin centered and tight sand gas plays as well as conventional plays. International experience includes the evaluation of a small oil field in south central Russia for development.

Jan has conducted field and area studies incorporating subsurface, 2D seismic, 3D seismic and reservoir data to identify exploratory and development oil and gas properties. He has carried out numerous reservoir evaluations, reserves determinations and deliverability projections and evaluated geological and geophysical data relative to determining reserves for financing, exploration opportunities and acquisitions. Jan uses a multidiscipline approach to prospecting, mapping and reservoir evaluation.

His work station skills include extensive experience with Geoquest Geoframe 3D seismic interpretation software and Kingdom SMT. He has used HDS Log Analysis, Logic Group PlanPlus Planimeter, Garret Aries, and Petra applications. Mapping skills include experience with seismic time maps, structure maps, fault plane maps, net sand maps, isochore maps, and paleontological maps. He has conducted reserves evaluations using P/Z, Volumetrics, Rate-Time, Rate-Cum, and Fractional Flow models.
