DARRELL HOYER, STAFF PETROPHYSICIST

Mr. Hoyer has provided petrophysical evaluations and made recommendations incorporating geophysical logs, core data, geological data, pressure transient analysis and reservoir modeling on a wide variety of international and U.S. domestic oil and gas projects. His recent experience in the Rocky Mountain region includes developing a Wasatch/Mesaverde core based multi-mineral petrophysical model for the analysis of 80+ wells within the Uintah Basin, Utah and providing petrophysical analysis for the evaluation of seismic attributes over the Mesaverde within the Piceance Basin, Colorado.

Internationally, Darrell has performed petrophysical analysis on the Centenario tight sand gas field in Argentina, analyzed 45 wells with the offshore Potiguar Basin, Brazil and completed a petrophysical study for the plan of development on a 100 million barrel, fractured carbonate/siliclastic reservoir in Columbia, as well as providing a petrophysical analysis of a 165 well Middle East oil field and a petrophysical model for 35+ well fractured carbonate oil field in Turkey. With over 30 years experience as a petrophysicist, Mr. Hoyer has insured that formation evaluation programs are up to date with technology, are of highest quality and designed to answer pertinent reservoir description questions.

He is experienced with various software packages on VAX(Teralog), PC (Petcome) and SUN workstation (GeoFrame and Landmark). Darrell pioneered a technique to quantify coalbed fracture porosity from Dual Laterolog. This technique developed in the San Juan Basin is published in The Log Analyst and was presented and published at the 1991, SPWLA, CWLS symposiums and the 1993, International Coalbed Methane Symposium.
