CHARLES W. HARRIS, STAFF GEOLOGIST
Charles Harris utilizes structural geology, 2-D/3-D seismic interpretation, sequence stratigraphy, sedimentology, well log interpretation and correlation, to define hydrocarbon system plays, reservoir geometries and distribution. His experience in international regional studies facilitates integration of the local prospect into the larger geologic and exploration context.
Dr. Harris has expanded prospect potential using structural geology, sequence stratigraphy, well log correlation, and subsurface mapping. He has evaluated the exploration potential of a basin and play by integrating 2-D seismic, gravity data, aeromagnetic data, and subsurface structure maps on selected stratigraphic horizons. Charles has compiled and analyzed the play elements, structural geology and tectonic framework of basins around the world for over 10 years.
He is proficient in the use of Geographix GES, including basic GEOSEC, QLA-2, and PRIZM; GeoPlus PETRA, STATISTICA, ARCINFO, and basic Seismic Microtechnology (SMT) 2D-3D PAK.
