JOHN B. GUSTAVSON, FOUNDER
John Gustavson has conducted reviews of operations of oil and mining companies across the United States. The firm he founded, Gustavson Associates LLC, conducts field visits and reviews both administrative and technical capabilities of operators. This work is usually done as part of bank lending activities and investments by financial institutions, or in connection with purchase or sale of mineral properties.
His extensive experience from reviewing both good and bad operating practices rests on a foundation of formal education of both engineering and geology. Over the last fifteen years, Gustavson Associates has become preeminent in the appraisal of mineral properties, a consulting activity which has sharpened Mr. Gustavson's attention to the economics of operations and the functioning of "the Market".
Mr. Gustavson is an excellent speaker and workshop organizer who has presented numerous seminars in cooperation with the University of Tulsa. His presentation form is light and pleasant without losing substance. His seminars are illustrated by numerous case histories and "hands on" experience.
Mr. Gustavson is currently a Director at Gustavson Associates, with headquarters in Boulder, Colorado, and additional offices in Denver, Colorado and Houston, Texas serving the U. S. and international clients. A staff of approximately 30 people is equally divided among the engineering, geological and economics disciplines, applying the necessary skills to the oil and mineral sectors.
