KENNETH W. GROVE, CHIEF GEOLOGIST
Ken Grove has 22 years of professional geological experience.
He has reviewed and evaluated coalbed methane (CBM) projects
on a worldwide basis. His CBM experience has included mapping
of coalbeds, determination of coal rank and gas yields,
and the calculation of in-place and recoverable coalbed
methane resources.
Mr. Grove’s considerable experience includes regional
mapping and basin analysis and the delineation of drillable
prospects, the interpretation and integration of seismic
data including seismic stratigraphy applications, drillsite
identification, well site geology, log analysis, reservoir
characterization, and economic evaluation.
He has been involved in the geological evaluation of gas
reserves and has provided expertise on the feasibility of
using horizontal drilling techniques to develop fractured
reservoirs. In addition, he has co-authored reports on the
natural gas resources of Russia and China, the coal-related
resources of the Ukraine, oil and gas resources of Indonesia,
and hydrocarbon prospectivity and basin analysis of the
Bechar Basin-Algeria.
